TreVeyon Henderson spent all of Saturday night reminding people why he's a game-changer for Ohio State.
You might not remember, but it had been more than an entire month since TreVeyon Henderson took a snap on the football field.
A lot can happen in a month, but in this case it was the Ohio State Buckeyes mostly holding serve against overmatched opponents, struggling offensively against the better ones, and generally just hoping that the offense would either work itself out or say the hell with it and throw it to Marvin Harrison, Jr. a million times.
The reason why Henderson's return is such a big deal, beyond the fact that he ran for 162 yards and a touchdown, is that the Buckeyes have struggled to become multi-dimensional on offense the entire season. They struggled to do that last night against the Badgers, too, but the feeling after this game isn't that they're incapable of having their cake and eating it too offensively, it's that it's just a matter of making all the disparate elements work at the same time.
They're not there yet, but maybe in another month we'll see that this victory against Wisconsin was the beginning of something truly impressive. Also, we have acknowledge that this team has some glaring holes in protection and issues at QB.Ive held my tongue all season about this defense, but a goal line stand against Wisconsin really is a thing of beauty. Theyre earning that silver bullet nameTreVeyon Henderson and Marvin Harrison Jr.
"He's resilient. That's what I've seen from him every day since the high school days. He never gets too down on himself. He has some great guys around him that will pick him up. He's gonna continue to fight."He is the 2nd player in OSU history with 100 rec yds and a rec TD in at least 4 consecutive games, joining Cris Carter, who had a streak of 5 such games in 1986.
