, which began in February, includes ads with text saying"Life works better in San Antonio" as well as images of popular San Antonio spots like the Pearl and the River Walk.

Some of the big cities targeted are Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago, Kansas City, Miami, Atlanta and Nashville. The campaign comes as San Antonio seeks to compete with other big cities for younger talent. Cecilia García Redmond, Greater SATX's chief brand and communications officer, said the nonprofit is focusing its efforts on economic development, talent and workforce. She said this means bringing more mid-tier professionals to San Antonio to open new businesses and build a stronger workforce.Targeted ads about San Antonio are being seen by people living in other major cities.

The purpose of the campaign is not to attract people to take jobs away from San Antonians, García Redmond said, but to"fill traditional roles that have not been able to be filled in this mid-level management area." The marketing campaign is geared toward what they found during their research was most important to people looking to move: cost of living, access to the outdoors and the weather.
