Cool and pleasant conditions are expected across Southern California on Sunday, followed by a major storm that will bring rain, mountain snow and gusty winds to the region over three days.
Total rainfall could exceed 4 inches, according to the Weather Service. A drying trend is expected for the latter half of the week. The valleys and Inland Empire can expect similar conditions with a high of 71 degrees on Sunday, dropping to 49 at night. Temperatures in the mountain communities will reach 58 degrees and it'll be 30 at night. Snow accumulation is possible Monday night at 6,500 to 7,000 feet, where forecasters predicted 6-12 inches, with local amounts up to 20 inches.
