While Kay won't hit SoCal directly, it will drive heavy moisture into the region, bringing with it the chance of thunderstorms and possibly flash flooding in mountain areas. Surfers will also see big swells at local beaches. On Wednesday, Los Angeles and Orange counties can expect to see hot, sunny conditions with a high of 95 degrees. Thursday and Friday will also be in the mid-to-upper 90s, while Saturday temperatures will drop to the 80s with the likelihood of up to half an inch of rain.
