A new clip from Disney's Snow White offers a closer look at an original new song. Snow White's cast is led by Rachel Zegler, who plays the titular princess, while Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot plays the Evil Queen. Directed by Marc Webb and with a screenplay co-written by Greta Gerwig, Snow White joins Disney's growing number of live-action remakes. It was originally slated for a March 2024 release, which was pushed back to March 21, 2025, due to the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes.

This will likely also be the case in Snow White.
While the movie will be adapting many classic elements from the animated Snow White movie released in 1937, it has also found ways to update and enhance the story."Waiting on a Wish" looks to be a prime example of that, as the song not only reveals details about Snow's past, but helps flesh out her inner conflict and overarching motivations. This is one of several ways that Zegler's version of Snow will be more developed than the 1937 version of the character.
