It's set to get cold next week ☃️
The region is braced for more cold weather and even flurries of the white stuff with temperatures set to plummet across the UK next week. Despite today being the first day of meteorological spring, coats and jumpers should still be kept close to hand as the colder weather looks set to feature for much of the month.
Met Office meteorologist Aidan McGivern said that air currents and conditions approaching the UK could lead to "disruptive snow in places next week”. He warned that parts of north and east of England are the most likely to be affected. "Light winds are expected for most, but moderate or fresh in the east. For the rest of the period, settled conditions are most likely across the country, with some wintry showers and snow the north and east at times.
