Motorola recently unveiled its latest flagship phone, the Motorola Edge . As an upgraded version of the Edge launched last year, this new model has significant improvements in processor and main camera. That said, what should you know about it?
For your information, The Edge has a 6.6-inch pOLED display with a resolution of 2400 × 1080px and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. The screen supports a 10-bit colour, has a peak brightness of up to 1300nits, and is equipped with Gorilla Glass 3 for improved durability. The phone is equipped with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor with a main frequency of 2.4GHz.
Additionally, the Edge is equipped with 8GB of LPDDR4X memory and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage space, ensuring smooth multitasking and ample storage capacity. In terms of camera configuration, the phone uses a 50MP Sony LYT-700C sensor as the main camera, which is a significant improvement over the previous generation Omnivision OV50A sensor.
There is also a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera with an aperture of f/2.2 and macro shooting support. The front camera is 32MP with an aperture of f/2.4 and uses Quad Pixel technology. The phone also runs the latest Android 14 system, has a built-in 5000mAh battery, and supports 68W fast charging and 15W wireless charging. Other features include dust and water resistance , support for SA/NSA 5G connection, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.
The phone is also equipped with a customisable shortcut button that can quickly launch the camera, gallery or other applications. The Motorola Edge is priced at $549.99 and will be officially released on June 20. We have yet to confirm the Malaysia release date for the device. So, we should wait for more confirmation from Motorola.
