The Forerunner 235 won’t break the bank, but rest assured that it’s packed with features to satisfy most runners. The GPS and GLONASS functionality and heart rate sensors provide accurate data recording, and it’s easy to wirelessly upload your runs from your phone and sync to apps like Strava and MapMyRun. Other features that runners will appreciate include its VO2 Max estimator and its weather widget for current conditions and forecasts.
For when you aren’t out on a run, the Forerunner 235 functions just like any other smartwatch and can alert you to calls, texts, emails, and calendar reminders. The battery life is about 11 hours with the GPS on, but can last up to nine days when just used in smartwatch mode. Though it can’t store your music or display live maps like some of Garmin’s more advanced GPS watches, the Forerunner 235 certainly doesn’t skimp out on essential training features for its price.
