Pasaran serai termasuk beberapa produk seperti teh serai, serbuk serai, minyak pati serai mula menerima sambutan tinggi di pasaran dunia.
KUALA PILAH: SME Corporation Malaysia menjangkakan peningkatan penjanaan pendapatan dalam kalangan peserta projek Inisiatif Pembangunan Rantaian Nilai Perniagaan Inklusif Serai Malaya.
“Apa yang saya dapat lihat kos penyelenggaraan penanaman serai agak rendah berbanding produk hiliran lain. Selain itu, serai bukan sahaja digunakan dalam masakan namun dijadikan penyembur pencegah nyamuk, produk aromaterapi dan sebagainya,” katanya. Sementara itu, jelas Rizal, selain kelompok Kampung Anak Air Bulan, Batu Kikir, Kuala Pilah terdapat empat lagi kelompok kampung di negeri ini dan Selangor yang menjalankan projek yang sama di bawah Serai Malaya.
