SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio - Akron police are asking for witnesses in a deadly hit and run accident which killed a 62-year-old woman.

Deborah Weihrauch died after being struck by a car while trying to cross in the 200 block of E. Market St.The accident happened at 12:52 a.m. on Oct. 5 and Weihrauch died at Summa Health Akron City Hospital on Oct. 6.“Oftentimes, the smallest bit of information or evidence can shift this/any investigation,” said Akron Police Captain Michael Miller.
