A pilot flying a single engine plane made an emergency crash landing near a New Jersey airport Saturday afternoon, according to local authorities. Steven C. Dickson took off from Central Jersey Regional Airport and began experiencing technical difficulties in his Mooney aircraft, the Hillsborough Township Police Department said. Dickson attempted to circle back to the airport but lost more controls before returning, according to police.
The plane crash landed shortly before 1 p.m. in grassy marsh located on Millstone River Road, just on the other side of a chain link fence surrounding the airport. Dickson complained of back pain, but did not seek medical attention, authorities said.Thank you for relying on us to provide the local news you can trust. Please consider supporting
