BREAKING: The CHP says all lanes of the eastbound 91 Freeway are now re-opened following a plane crash in Corona.
The plane crash was reported in the eastbound lanes of the 91 Freeway, just west of the 15 Freeway at about 12:30 p.m. Two people were on board the plane, and neither was injured, California Highway Patrol officials reported.The aircraft was engulfed in flames as firefighters arrived on the scene. The plane hit at least one vehicle, a Toyota Tundra pickup truck, the CHP said.
At least two right lanes of the freeway have been shut down, and the Lincoln Avenue onramp to the eastbound freeway has been closed by Corona police. Caltrans cameras on the freeway showed very heavy traffic inching its way past the crash site.Around 7:05 p.m. the CHP said all lanes of the eastbound 91 Freeway were re-opened.
