Kasier Permanente's San Diego Medical Center in Kearny Mesa temporarily halted surgeries Monday morning after a small electrical fire in the facility's telecommunications equipment room took communications equipment offline. The incident occurred about 6:50 a.m.
, Kaiser said in a statement, with power to the affected equipment immediately shut down. 'The San Diego Fire Department responded and confirmed there was no active fire and that the building was safe,' Kaiser said. Surgeries were suspended, the provider said, 'out of an abundance of caution,' but were resumed at 11:45 a.m.
