The Merry Xmas Everybody singer, 77, quietly underwent treatment for oesophageal cancer – and was given just six months to live. Now Noddy’s wife, Suzan Holder, has shared their story after her husband’s ‘incredible’ recovery after being given the ‘bombshell’ diagnosis that he would only survive for a matter of months.
While there were ‘no guarantees’ Noddy responded brilliantly to the treatment, and ‘here we are five years later and he’s feeling good and looking great.’ She clarified that her husband was not ‘cured,’ as it’s a word medical professionals shy away from when it comes to cancer; and that he publicly revealed his diagnosis for the first time on stage at a show in Cheshire this year.
