A mom in New Mexico was arrested Thursday and charged with child abuse after her 15-year-old daughter said she choked her and threw her to the floor.
On September 14, Lynsey Reel's teenage daughter told the Dona Ana County Sheriff's Office that she hit her and strangled her on July 27 outside her grandparents' home in Santa Teresa.
The teen said that at the party, she asked Reel if she could go to her grandparents' house to grab a few things and check on her pet cat. The 15-year-old told investigators there was a misunderstanding in the car that made Reel get aggressive and start cussing and calling the teenager names. Reel then allegedly strangled her teenage daughter outside the grandparent's house while the grandpa witnessed everything from the front door.
Investigators were told the 15-year-old had a large bruise on her backside, arms and elbows, and had scratches on her wrists.
