The finale of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew wraps up the younglings' adventure, but not before packing in plenty of Easter eggs and references to the wider Star Wars universe. From the Supervisor's lair echoing the vibes of Palpatine's Exegol to the reveal of Tak Rennod's fate, the finale is a treat for fans who want to dive deeper into the lore.

The finale of Star Wars : Skeleton Crew has arrived, and we have a lot to unpack! The series' lead younglings — Wim , Neel , Fern , and KB — accidentally departed the only life they knew, a safe but dull upbringing on At Attin.

Showrunners Christopher Ford and Jon Watts managed to avoid jumping the shark, giving us a series that tied its loose ends and stood on its own. With the younglings back home, they've rejoined their parents, including Wim's dad Wendle and Fara , with whom they must collaborate to stave off the pirate invasion. In the final episode, Jod Na Nawood has infiltrated the stronghold of the Supervisor , inching toward a full takeover. Since its premiere, Skeleton Crew has packed its episodes with Easter eggs, hidden references, and callbacks to the long history of Star Wars. From a slew of pirate-related lore to a surprising connection to the Star Wars Holiday Special, there's been plenty to hunt down. Here's everything you might've missed in Skeleton Crew's finale! The Supervisor's Lair Evokes Feelings of Palpatine and Exegol As soon as Jod leads Fara and Fern into the Supervisor's control room, we're hit with a sinister, familiar feeling of dread. If you're reminded of Emperor Palpatine , you aren't alone. Littered with hanging cables, the dark room gives the same vibes as Palpatine's lair on Exegol in The Rise of Skywalker. The hidden Sith planet served as Palpatine's stronghold as he"somehow returned" and regained his strength, the various cables connected to his discarded cloned bodies, and the apparent experiments that led to the creation of Snoke . Even as the Supervisor's central"body" turned to greet his guests, he embodies the Emperor, menacingly turning to his approachers like in the Death Star's throne room. We Met Tak Rennod Many Episodes Ago After all that theorizing, it seems we met the pirate captain Tak Rennod long ago. Well, we met his corpse, at least. In episode 5, SM-33 recounts the fate of his former captain, telling his new mates that Tak Rennod was stabbed through the heart. In episode 3, Jod comes across a skeleton pinned to a wall in the Onyx Cinder by a knife through the heart. This was Tak Rennod's body all along. At Attin Still Believes the Jedi Are Traitors While we don't have an exact date for when At Attin last received communication from the rest of the galaxy, we have some clues. With the Supervisor deciphering Jod's ruse, determining that he's either lying about being a Jedi or a Republic emissary, we know that At Attin missed the entire original trilogy. The last they heard, the Jedi were all traitors, so they apparently got the Order 66 memo. Related 'Skeleton Crew's Deep-Cut George Lucas Reference Has a Long Franchise History How many vaults are there again? Posts Order 66 Played a Key Role in Jod's Life Close Speaking of Order 66, we now know that Palpatine's horrific command in Revenge of the Sith played a key role in Jod's life."I was living in a hole in the ground, and a Jedi found me," Jod tells Wim."She may have been desperate and ragged like me, but she told me I had potential." This explains his knowledge of the Force. "Well, she only taught me a little before they hunted her down. And they made me watch whilst they killed her." Over the years, we've come to know many Jedi survivors of Order 66. One unnamed survivor, although she didn't live for long, started Jod on his path toward becoming a powerful pirate scoundrel. Emperor Palpatine's effect on the galaxy was even more widespread than we thought. B-Wings Show Off Their Skills in Live-Action 'Star Wars' For the First Time First appearing in Return of the Jedi, the B-wing starfighters are some of the coolest ships in Star Wars. However, it wasn't until Skeleton Crew's finale that we finally saw these babies in action. With their four-pointed lasers configured into one deadly beam, the B-wings looked glorious as they tore into the pirate's main vessel. KB Mirrors This Heartbreaking B1 Battle Droid In Skeleton Crew's third episode, the younglings insist that Jod rescues SM-33 before they escape Port Borgo. Jod hasn't met SM-33, so, when he finds the holding room, he inspects a few droids before finding SM-33. One of the droids he encounters is a decommissioned B1 battle droid. Briefly turning it on , the B1 pitifully asks,"Did we win?" Jod turns the B1 back off without answering. In the finale, when the younglings rush to KB, she slides out of the Onyx Cinder, unconscious on a cascade of golden credits. When she wakes up, she asks the same question as the B1 battle droid:"Did we win?" A CR90 Corvette Arrives as a Symbol of Hope The CR90 corvettes, sometimes called blockade runners, have been used by the Galactic Republic and Imperial Senate, later repurposed by the Rebel Alliance. After Skeleton Crew's finale, they deserve to be recognized as the symbols of hope they are. Princess Leia made the ship famous in A New Hope, riding in a CR90 called the Tantive IV as she fled Darth Vader . When we saw the ship again at the end of Rogue One, with a digitally de-aged version of Leia making a brief appearance, her simple line,"Hope," fixed the CR90s into our minds. Wim looks into the sky as the New Republic fleet defeats the pirate forces invading At Attin. He gives a hopeful smile as a giant CR90 corvette emerges from a cloud of smoke and ascends into the stars.8 10 Star Wars: Skeleton Crew TV-PG ActionAdventureScience Fiction Four kids make a mysterious discovery on their home planet that leads them to get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy.
