DUESSELDORF, Germany (Reuters) - England fans woke up on Sunday not quite sure whether to celebrate a remarkably confident shootout performance that sent them into the Euro2024 semi-finals or lament another display of caution and inertia by their players and manager.
KUALA LUMPUR: The Maal Hijrah 1446H/2024M celebrations in six states today featured various programmes, including talks, Quran recitations, and award presentations to individuals who have significantly contributed to religion and the country., Sultan of Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, Tengku Ampuan of Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, and Tengku Mahkota Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah attended the state-level Maal Hijrah celebration.

To all the beloved people of Pahang, preserve the prosperity of this cherished land," he said., Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Shah and Raja Permaisuri of Perak Tuanku Zara Salim attended the state-level Maal Hijrah celebration at the Casuarina Convention Centre in Meru.
The celebration, which began at 10.30am, was also attended by Kedah Raja Muda Tengku Sarafudin Badlishah Sultan Sallehuddin and Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor. During the event, Sultan Sallehuddin also presented the Tokoh Maal Hijrah Award to former Grand Imam of the National Mosque Datuk Taib Azamudden Md Taib who is also former Baling MP., Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah urged all Muslims to enhance their love and faith in Allah SWT in conjunction with the new Hijrah year.
In his speech, he urged the Muslim community in the state to embody the significance of the Hijrah event by fostering unity and strengthening brotherhood, as exemplified by Prophet Muhammad SAW in uniting the Muhajirin and Ansar.
