A shooting in Casa Grande early Saturday morning left five people injured and one dead. The incident occurred near McMurray Boulevard and Pinal Avenue around 1:10 a.m.
Five people were injured in an early morning shooting in Casa Grande on Saturday, and a sixth person, police say, was found dead. The Feb. 8 shooting happened around 1:10 a.m. near McMurray Boulevard and Pinal Avenue, the police department said. Upon their arrival, officers discovered five gunshot victims. Three of the victims are 20 years old, one 17, and one 19. These five victims were flown to Valley area hospitals for trauma care and their conditions currently vary from stable to unknown.
Officers also discovered one 19-year-old male deceased from an apparent gunshot. The deceased male was identified as Phoenix resident Syncere Ellington, investigators said. Police say there are no outstanding suspects or threats to the community. The investigation is ongoing. Police didn't say what led up to the shooting, or if anyone was arrested in connection to it.
