Six homes were burned and a dog was found dead after a fire broke out in Pasadena.
The fire was reported around 1:45 p.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of East Bell Street between Mentor and Catalina Avenue, according to the Pasadena Fire Department.A home that was destroyed in the fire had been owned by the family for six decades. The fire also took the life of their 7-year-old English Bulldog.
"She was hiding, they couldn’t find her. But no one was in the house, everyone was safe," said Lizola. In total, ten people were displaced by the fire. Five homes had varying degrees of fire damage and the one that was destroyed belonged to Alex Lizaola’s father. He grew up there and it had been in the family for 60 years.
