The company saw its revenue decline this quarter, even though each visitor spent more money at its theme parks.

But attendance has fallen more than company leaders expected, CEO Selim Bassoul said Thursday on a call for investors. The new pass will correct for the mistakes of the old program, which cost too little and led to long lines. Six Flags will limit how much food users can get with the pass, Bassoul said Thursday.and wearable technology, Bassoul said.

The chain’s 27 parks in the U.S., Mexico and Canada also will take steps to reduce costs to match lower attendance. The company has already cut 25% of its full-time workforce at parks this year.
