North Yorkshire Police said they have also seized music equipment
North Yorkshire Police were called out to Stillingfleet after reports of loud music, drug use and disorder on Saturday night , which "angered and worried" residents. A 'significant number' of police officers were dispatched to the scene, and remained at the scene into Sunday.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “The impact on the local community and the risk to those present due to the derelict nature of the site were clearly unacceptable. While this was a challenging incident to deal with – not least because of the sheer volume of people in attendance – we’re extremely grateful to local residents for their patience.
Earlier one "angry" resident, who wished to remain anonymous, told how she was astonished by how sophisticated the illegal rave set-up was. "They had stages, generators, vans, you name it", she said.
