The beleaguered patriarch's unraveling, and getting real with his "bros" as he comes apart at the seams. In one memorable "bro" chat, Kody wasn't quite sure that he'd feel jealous if Christine moved on with another man.
With Robyn, Kody fell in love for real. He may not have expected Cupid's arrow to travel straight through his heart. Once that happened, the whole Brown family dynamic shifted. Kody was passionately in love with one wife, and probably didn't love the others at all. Of course, the three remaining wives know this. It may have taken them a while to accept it, and that's why this whole mess, including the legendary Battle of Coyote Pass, dragged on endlessly.
Kody doesn't love Meri. He's repeatedly humiliated her, and refused to forgive her for the unfortunate catfishing scandal, which probably happened because Meri felt emotionally abandoned . Kody's macho insensitivity's a problem, and one more reason why he runs to his bros when life gets hard. With them, he can escape the uncanny intuition of women. He can escape the strong emotions that women evoke in him when they're unhappy.
