A loving sister has paid tribute to her Partick Thistle mad brother after he tragically passed away on his way home from a game.
Nicola Becci has revealed the family have been left devastated following Mark's fatal heart attack at the train station after he watched his beloved side take on Raith Rovers in Kirkcaldy on Friday, May 5. The sister says the loss of the 52-year-old, who lived in Jordanhill, still hasn't sunk in and the family are still coming to terms with the dad-of-one's sudden death.She told Glasgow Live: "He was getting a connecting train to take him back to Glasgow.
"I was woken up in the early hours of Saturday morning by mum who told me that he'd died, which was a massive shock."It never crossed my mind that this would happen. You just think you have loads of time and it is just a real shock."I feel like none of this has sunk in yet.Amongst fellow Jags, Mark became known as Sketch and was a familiar face at both home and away games. The dad-of-one would often be spotted alongside his son at the football.
Following the shock passing tributes from throughout Scottish football have flooded in. Partick Thistle released a statement following the tragic death of the super fan and their Friday night opponents Raith Rovers also passed on their condolences.The devastated sister said: "There were all these lovely tributes.The funeral for the loving father is set to take place on May 29 with the reception taking place at his beloved Firhill Stadium.
