Sir Fraser Stoddart, the founder of skin care brand Noble Pancea and Nobel Laureate, has died. He was 82.
Stoddart was on holiday with his family in Australia at the time. The cause of death could not be learned.later in his career, Stoddart’s résumé was lengthy, particularly in academia. At Northwestern University in Chicago, he helmed the Chemistry Research Palace, and in 2023 moved to Hong Kong University’s research facility as the chair professor of chemistry.
“Sir Fraser Stoddart was not only a remarkable chemistry professor, as demonstrated when he was appointed the highest praise amongst the scientific community by being appointed Nobel Laureate for Chemistry in 2016, he was also an inspiring founder whose vision and legacy have touched countless lives,” the brand said in a statement.
“He was a man who demonstrated remarkable warmth and hospitality,” the statement continued. “He was a man who hosted students at his home for meals and wonderful parties over the many decades working at universities, embracing diversity and camaraderie amongst his faculty,” the statement continued. “He always had a glint in his eye, a brilliant wit and a warmth and candor that was quite outstanding for such an esteemed mind of his generation.”.
