More than 70 Conservative MPs will not seek re-election on July 4, that’s nearly a quarter of all Tory’s serving under the British prime minister now.

An energised Liberal Democrats party is targeting Gove’s seat of Surrey Heath in the south-east of England, part of the so-called Tory “blue wall”.
