Motorists should be alert and watch for slow-moving construction vehicles.has announced that a project to repair a sinkhole on westbound Route 30 just east of Route 74 in York County is on track to be completed and the road open to traffic by 6 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11.New lines will be painted on the roadway tomorrow after road surface dries and temperatures rise.
This work is part of a pavement patching project that includes concrete patching, concrete paving, diamond grinding, asphalt milling, base repair, asphalt overlay, guiderail updates, ADA ramps, signs, pavement markings, and other miscellaneous construction on Route 30 from Route 74 in West Manchester Township to Interstate 83 in Manchester Township.
The project also includes base repairs, milling and overlay on Roosevelt Avenue from Marbrook Lane in the City of York and Manchester Township to just north of Greenbriar Road in West Manchester Township. JVI Group, Inc., of York Springs is the contractor on this $ 8.74 million project.
