Below freezing temperatures expected for early part of week

National Weather Service officials expect temperatures to plunge to single digits in northeast Illinois in the upcoming week. Light snow was also expected Sunday night, with freezing drizzle south of Kankakee River. Monday’s temperatures will be between 9 and 22, with the morning wind chill between 10 below zero and 10. Tuesday’s temperatures will be between 9 and 19, with a morning wind chill between 3 below zero and 11.
