UPDATE: 994 more COVID19 patients were discharged in Singapore today, taking the total number of recovered patients to 14,876
SINGAPORE: Singapore reported 548 new COVID-19 cases as of noon on Sunday , taking its total number of coronavirus infections to 31,616.
The number of new cases in the community has increased from an average of five per day in the week before to an average of six per day in the past week."This is partly due to our active surveillance and screening of nursing home residents and pre-school staff, which have picked up more cases in the past week," it said.
Of the new cases, 99 per cent are linked to known clusters, while the rest are pending contact tracing.
