Gymnast Simone Biles of Spring has been awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Biden.
The medal is considered the highest civilian honor in the U.S. and is presented to individuals who have made “exemplary contributions to the prosperity, values, or security of the United States, world peace, or other significant societal public or private endeavors.”the most decorated gymnast in history, with a combined total of 32 Olympic and World Championship medals., children in the foster care system, and victims of sexual assault.
