It topped a poll voted on by F1 fans
Fans have voted the British Grand Prix at Silverstone as the best Formula One race of the 2022 season. It topped a poll with 34% of votes, while the Sao Paulo Grand Prix came runner-up.
Sunday's race began in spectacular fashion as Zhou Guanyu's Alfa Romeo was upended and sent flying into the catch fence at Turn 1, which brought out a red flag and stopped the race. During the race suspension, a group of Just Stop Oil supporters walked onto the track and sat down on the tarmac. They were later arrested by police.
