At 8:15 p.m. Saturday, July 6, the fire was estimated at 2,830 acres. It had grown another 2,570 acres by 10:30 a.m. Sunday, July 7.Silver King Fire quadruples in size in just hours, exhibiting 'extreme fire behavior'Firefighters and an aircraft crew had been working toward the east and south of the fire Sunday morning, utilizing specialized resources, including several Very Large Air Tankers.
Authorities said additional action plans are under consideration by fire managers as crews continue working to protect nearby structures.
