Apple TV+'s Silo Season 2 finale sets the stage for an intriguing Season 3. Creator Graham Yost reveals plans to explore the origins of the silos and the post-apocalyptic world, with the return of fan-favorite characters Helen and the Congressman. The scene also reveals the origin of the iconic Rubber Ducky Pez dispenser.

Season 2 of Apple TV+ 's dystopian drama Silo premiered today with a finale as explosive as fans have come to expect from the series. Apple has already greenlit the third and concluding fourth season, sparking rampant speculation about what storylines they will explore. In a recent interview, series creator Graham Yost teased what viewers can anticipate in Season 3 .

The Season 2 finale concludes with a flashback sequence introducing Jessica Henwick's Helen and Ashley Zuckerman's Congressman from Georgia's 15th district. Yost hinted in an interview that these characters will return in Season 3, with the series delving into the origins of the silos and the events leading to the post-apocalyptic world. 'We are going to get into some origin story stuff in Season 3, you’ve now met Daniel and Helen, played by Ashley Zuckerman and Jessica Henwick,' Yost shared. Yost also revealed that during conversations with Apple, there were suggestions to end the season with Rebecca Ferguson's Juliette Nichols trapped in an airlock, engulfed in flames. However, Yost and his team argued against this, insisting that 'Silo is not a show that ends with just a cliffhanger. It needs to be something is answered and something is raised.' The aforementioned scene with Helen and the Congressman also sheds light on the origin of the Rubber Ducky Pez dispenser, the very one George Wilkins gifts to Juliette centuries later. Yost noted, 'With this one, it was a different kind of thing. We knew people are going to go, ‘Oh s––, that’s where the Pez came from. What does that mean?’ That then propels us forward and that’s kind of the way this show works best because it’s a mystery show.' Notably, Seasons 3 and 4 will be filmed back-to-back in 2025, with a brief interim period to accommodate pre-production for the latter.
