Fox, an American artist who is known for his expertise in painting athletes and celebrities on canvas, expressed in a statement to Fox News Digital how monumental it was to paint Phelps. 'I've painted a lot of athletes over the years, but translating Michael Phelps' movements and the fluidity of water into these paintings was a new challenge,' he said.
