Sightseers hoping to catch a glimpse of a celebrity otter may be hurting the animal and the environment.
A sea otter along the Central Coast, who has gained attention for biting and stealing surfboards in Santa Cruz, has become an attraction for locals and visitors. Now there are concerns over people harassing the animal as well as other wildlife.A very unique game of chase in Monterey Bay could have consequences for wildlife and the environment.
"With sea otters, if they change their behaviors, they expend energy – which they would otherwise use taking care of their young.
