Sienna Miller and her actor-model partner Oli Green star as the faces of Frame's spring 2025 collection. The campaign, shot by Frame co-founder Erik Torstensson, showcases the couple's playful and intimate dynamic in a series of shots that highlight the brand's timeless denim pieces. Miller discusses her personal style, her admiration for vintage inspiration, and the challenges of navigating the ever-changing landscape of fashion in the digital age.
When Sienna Miller hops onto our Zoom call, it’s not actually her that logs on. Instead, it’s “Marlowe the Magnificent”—the title presumably a remnant from Miller’s daughter using the iPad the actor is calling me from. Of course, her face is instantly recognizable (at least coming from someone who used to obsessively page through her street-style ‘fits in glossy magazine pages).
Quite literally glowing from her earlier facial, Miller apologizes for her disheveled appearance; she’s calling me in between shoots in Dubai. “That’s okay,” I say, increasingly aware of my own form. “Let’s get down to business.”Miller and her actor-model partner Oli Green are the new faces of Frame’s spring 2025 collection. The duo star together in the campaign—shot by Frame’s co-founder and creative director Erik Torstensson—marking the couple’s first official collaboration (not counting Marlowe and their baby girl), and the first time an actor has represented the brand. Miller counts Torstensson as one of her closest friends, she tells Harper’s Bazaar, and Frame is a brand that’s naturally been incorporated into her outfits over the years. “It’s peppered around my wardrobe”, she says, citing a long black leather coat and elevated basics. In the campaign, Miller and Green cuddle up on a plush bedroom floor, wearing—in stark contrast to the shaggy carpet—structured jeans. Miller styles her high-waisted pair with a simple white tank, at one point forgoing the layer to pose in a matching triangle bra. Green, for his part, doubles-down on the denim, wearing a tailored button-up sprawled open across his chest. And despite the amount of skin showing, the campaign isn’t necessarily sexy, Miller says. Rather, its intimate nature came organically. “It was just nice to have my guy there with me on set,” she adds. “He would never come normally.”That said, the campaign’s shoot was unlike any other. “It was quite funny, between Erik shooting it, and me and Oli in it, we were all a hysterical, giggling bunch of children,” Miller says. “We’re all quite immature as it is, and I think there was an added nervousness, because we’re such good friends. I’ve never been shot by Erik, so trying to take each other seriously in a work environment took some adjusting to with lots of laughter.”Their friendship translates across the campaign photos, and of course, how this partnership came to be. “I think we were in Paris, a couple of martinis down, and it just sounded like fun,” Miller reminisces, recalling when Torstensson asked her and Green to lead the campaign. Their closeness made it easy to say yes to the project (and of course, a few drinks didn’t hurt). Like Miller mentioned, the collaboration was also a natural fit. She describes many of the pieces as timeless, giving a special mention to a suede jacket and flared jeans that “made me look like I had legs that were severely longer than mine are in reality.” Elsewhere, in her own words, “the knitwear is gorgeous; the tanks are perfect; and the basics do so brilliantly well.”And while Miller flaunts her own status as an eternal It girl, she turns to a lot of vintage inspiration when it comes to getting dressed. She credits Lauren Hutton, Ralph Lauren, and Jane Birkin as her biggest denim icons, while her everyday style comes more locally. When asked if her personal style overlaps with Oli’s, she beams. “I am endlessly stealing from his wardrobe—it doesn’t really work the other way, but I like a baggy jean,” she says (relatable). “We went to a Frame event a few months ago, and I ended up wearing a double denim look that was meant for Oli. He’s got slender hips.”Now, Miller prioritizes comfort; after all, personal style is truly a reflection of what kind of life we live, and being a busy actor and mom doesn’t call for the same looks as she wore in her 20s. “It’s easy to just conform and to be in the uniform of the world,” she says. “I have moments where I’ll rebel against that and find some weird thing in a market and wear it—but I have a couple of kids and a busy life, and I wish I could spend an hour in the morning asking, ‘What mood am I in?’” Vintage belts and a chic bag are her go-tos to elevate any look. Speaking of looking back, the actor is already seeing trends she pioneered return. “It was not a chic moment , but I’m nostalgic for it because I know we were all having so much fun,” she says, laughing. “It’s lovely to see things come back, because it reminds you of a moment, and it’s interesting to see it in a moment.”But with social media feeding us new looks every second, even Miller struggles with not conforming to the crowd. “I used to wait for magazines to come out once a month, and be looking at images created by the best photographers, and outfits created by the most amazing stylists,” she recalls. Now, she laments, everyone has a stylist just because. Still, it’s fun to look back on her looks, she says.
