SIBU: The police are hunting for suspects who were bitten by dogs while breaking into a second-hand car shop on Tuesday (June 30).
Speaking about the case, Sibu deputy OCPD Supt Collin Babat said that the suspects had removed the decoder of the shop's CCTV system before fleeing during the incident.
He said that a salesman at the shop along Lorong Terap here discovered bloodstains at the front and inside the shop when he reported for work. “The shop has two German Shepherds; one is five years old, and the other is a year-old and both were not chained when the shop closed for business the night before, ” said Supt Collin.
He added that police personnel at the scene found bloodstains all over the shop, which was a converted corner house and said that the case is being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code for housebreaking.
