A fire at a SEPTA station in Center City Philadelphia is forcing riders to take alternative routes as crews respond.A spokesperson for the transit agency said that a transformer caught on fire and it is impacting the Market-Frankford Line between Spring Garden and 30th Street stations because of a power outage. SkyForce10 was over the City Hall SEPTA station around 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11 where several fire trucks could be seen as some smoke was visible coming from the underground station. In a social media post around 4:09 p.m., SEPTA announced that service was delayed by 30 minutes and riders were encouraged to take shuttle buses or alternate routes.L1: Shuttle buses are operating from Drexel 30th Street to Spring Garden stations; delays up to 30 minutes are possible due to power issues. Passengers can take the Route 21 bus on Walnut Street or the T lines as alternates.A spokesperson from PATCO said that the service's three Locust Street stations at 15/16th, 12/13th and 9/10th streets are all closed because of the lingering power outage.No word yet on what caused the fire.Pa. woman accused of taking roommate's money, buying drugs that led to her death
