Shropshire firefighters rushed to help deal with an overturned milk tanker.
The crew, from Whitchurch, was initially sent to Malpas to deal with an incident classed as a spill of 'hazardous substances'.
They had been asked to assist North Wales Fire Service with the incident on the B5395, Old Hall Street.They also said that there were no reports of anyone being injured in the incident, which took place around 11.30am.It said:"The B5395, Old Hall Street in Malpas is currently closed due to an overturned HGV which was carrying milk.
"There are no reports of any injuries but the road will be closed for several hours while recovery work takes place.Shropshire Fire and Rescue station manager James Bainbridge said the crew was helping their neighbours over the border. Posting on Twitter he said:"Over the border in @CheshireFire supporting @Whitchurch_SFRS at an overturned milk tanker & spill. Environmental protection measures in place to minimise impact to land & watercourses."
