We continue to keep an eye on Beryl. Beryl is now a tropical storm and is moving off the Yucatan peninsula. It will take a good day or so for it to actually regenerate over the Gulf of Mexico. After it reorganizes ,Beryl could become a hurricane once again and approach the Texas coast. The forecast track has shifted north of Brownsville. Landfall may occur really anywhere north of the US Mexican Border all the way up as far as Galveston, Texas.
This storm could become a substantial hurricane once again and the National Hurricane Center forecast indicates that it could have wins at 90 mph at landfall.Look for heat and humidity to continue to be a problem. We will see overnight lows in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees each night. Daytime heat index values will range between 105 and 110 degrees.
