Formula 1 driver Sergio ‘Checo’ Perez has insisted that he is not threatened by Red Bull’s new reserve driver, Daniel Ricciardo.in 2019 is now back with his former team and has previously said he would only be taking on roles where he could see himself back in a race seat near the front for 2024. So where does that leave Perez?
Perez has made a fantastic contribution to Red Bull since joining. From helping Max Verstappen clinch two World Drivers’ Championships as well as playing a crucial role in Red Bull bringing home their first Constructors’ Championship in eight years, he helped the team get back to their Sebastian Vettel days.towards the end of the 2022 season when Verstappen refused to let Perez through in order to gain an advantage over Charles Leclerc in the battle for second place in the championship.
Despite all the talk, Perez said that he is “very relaxed” about the addition of Ricciardo to the team.
