The Chicago Fire Department said shots were fired during the robbery at Fifth/Third bank. The gunfire appeared to shatter a window, but CFD said no one was struck. A security guard suffered cuts on his hand from the broken glass, according to CFD.

A spokesperson for Metra said the suspect apparently fled into Ogilvie Transportation Center at 500 West Madison. Chicago police locked down the Metra station for their search, but as of 4:20 it had reopened and trains were running again.No further details have been released.
