Families will be able to make 28 meals from £18.32
As the rising cost of living continues to put pressure on families, many will be looking for ways to cut costs whilst still enjoying the meals they love. To help shoppers make their money go further this year, Asda has launched a new initiative that allows customers to feed a family of four a hot evening meal for a week for under £20.
The Just Essentials ‘7 for £20’ plan is available on Asda.com now and can be found in just one click on the site - meaning customers can browse the seven recipes and add each ingredient required to their basket before checking out.The recipes that will feed a family of four all week for under £20 include the likes of tuna and tomato pasta, fish pie, sausage and mash or chicken stew and rice.
Sam Dickson, Acting Chief Customer Office at Asda, said: “Our reputation for offering quality, low-cost food products means that we’re trusted by families and shoppers looking for good food on a budget. On social media, shoppers have praised the supermarket for helping feed families on a budget. Commenting on a post in Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, Jemima Matthews said: “Well done Asda. It’s simply showing you it’s quite easy to make a week or meals if you put some effort in it. Instead of spending £20 on a takeaway or Mcdonalds or junk food. Everyone can have a decent meal.”
