San Antonio police are investigating a fatal shooting that took place Saturday at a motel on the East Side.San Antonio homicide detectives are investigating a Saturday afternoon shooting an an East Side motel that left a 28-year-old man dead.
Police responded to a call of a shooting in progress around 4:30 p.m. on the 4000 block of I-10 East. According to police, a man entered an unlocked room where another man and his girlfriend were staying. The woman told police the man who entered the room had been stalking her and she had tried to obtain a restraining and protective order against him.
The man she was with tried to persuade the suspected stalker to leave, but he refused, police said. Fearing for his and his girlfriend's life, the 23-year-old man fired several shots, hitting the other man in the head.
