Helen had been given up by her unmarried mum at 10 days old.For more than 40 years, her mum was a mystery until a stranger on Facebook helped reunite them.

“Straight away, we knew each other. gave me a big hug and said, ‘I feel I just won the lottery’,” Helen told 7NEWS.Helen and Glen were reunited after more than 40 years apart.But there’s more to this incredible story, with Helen’s birth mum Glen marrying her adoptive dad, Gwyn. Helen introduced the pair, and they hit off, with outings to the cricket and the beach culminating in a kiss.

“I went in to Helen and I said, ‘I’ve got something to say’. I said ‘Your dad kissed me’,” Glen said.The couple has just married in the UK after having a commitment ceremony in Perth. Helen was their celebrant.Glen and Gwyn married in the UK after a commitment ceremony in Perth.The happy couple is flying to Australia later this year to celebrate Gwyn’s 80th birthday and the arrival of a great-grandchild.“I’m just really happy it happened,” she said.
