Set around 10 years after the Battle of Yavin, Ahsoka cannot feature the usual Star Wars villains. The Sith would only return decades later in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, whereas the Inquisitors as an Order should be gone following the fall of the Empire.
Baylan Skoll is arguably the first Dark Jedi in the new Star Wars canon, as terms like Sith or Inquisitor do not apply to him. This would make Shin Hati a Dark Jedi Padawan. Regardless of the official designation, Shin is an apprentice of a fallen Jedi, making her one of the most unique Star Wars villains in years. Elements like the Sith Rule of Two have been used in dozens of stories, retroactively applying to most Star Wars villains since the original trilogy.
Shin Hati's Orange Lightsaber Makes Her A Fierce Combatant According to Huyang, Baylan’s Jedi lightsaber was unlike any other lightsaber used in the Jedi Order in the last 500 years. Presumably, Huyang was referring to the orange blade rather than the hilt or anything else. An orange lightsaber is a first in the current Star Wars canon, and it is still unclear how that color differs from others.
