The Bay Area has seen a nonstop parade of soaking storms this winter.

The freeway was closed during the height of the morning commuteon the San Francisco Bay Area early Tuesday, bringing widespread, steady rain across a region that has seen a nonstop parade of soaking storms this winter.
With the system expected to move more quickly than originally expected, the weather service has dropped projected rainfall totals slightly, mainly in valley areas. The San Jose area was originally forecast to record 0.75 inch and is now predicted to measure about 0.50 inch. Morgan Hill and Gilroy were projected to see 0.75 to 2 inches and are now likely to record 0.50 to 1.5 inches. The East Bay Hills went from 2 inches to 1.5 inches, San Francisco from 1.3 inches to 1.
