Sheriff's detectives investigate three homicides in 21-hour period [Breaking]
Sheriff’s detectives are investigating three homicides that occurred over a 21-hour period — one in Bonita and two in Lemon Grove.
Homicide Lt. Chris Steffen said investigators developed information and quickly identified the ex-boyfriend of the victim’s girlfriend as a suspect in the stabbing. The second case was reported shortly before 7:55 p.m. in Lemon Grove. Deputies responded to reports of gunshots on Washington Street near Alton Drive and found a 38-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his head, officials said. He died before he could be taken to a hospital.
