This is the second bear attack in Wyoming in a week.

Authorities said a man is recovering after he accidentally shot himself while he was getting attacked by a grizzly bear.

Volunteers with Tip Top Search and Rescue responded to the scene and were able to retrieve the man and offer medical treatment. The man was identified as 65-year-old Lee Francis of Evanston, Wyoming. Lee was able to draw his handgun and fired several rounds which caused the bear to run away, according to a Facebook post from the sheriff’s office. Visitors view aGrizzly Bear at the Bear and Wolf Recovery Center just outside of Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming.
