Baumann will be paid $2.12 million to bring down the building, part of a $4 million contract with the city to demolish 12 buildings on the airport grounds. Parking at the airport has been at a premium in recent years, as air travel has surged. Air traffic at Cleveland Hopkins in 2024 is expected to top more than 10 million passengers, the highest number since 2008.
