Even so, the people Ryo encounters can and often do vary in disposition and response. Some are reserved or outright annoyed by his approach. Others are inquisitive, gosspy. Several older women in Bailu were all too eager to hear Ryo’s living situation with Shenhua. Shopkeepers want you to buy something, and tradespeople are eager to discuss their craft. They’ll find Ryo’s hurry and lack of interest a negative. Some people want to share themselves with you.
